
Peter Doyle joined the Vortex Consulting team in 2023 as vice president, program management office. Over the last 4 decades in information technology, he has worked on several boundary-pushing projects for high-profile clients, contributing to an impressive professional background that has had him stationed around the globe. In his early career days, he worked in the SAP practice at Ernst & Young, initially certified in materials management and production before moving to sales and distribution. In his next position with Deloitte, he helped establish the supply chain practice, specializing in advanced planning software.
Following his tenure working among the Big Four, Peter took a leadership role with a major North American auto manufacturer, where he managed the global rollout of their SAP template to numerous markets. Before managing SAP rollouts in the Middle East, he was a senior project manager for their Latin American SAP rollout. Additional consultant work saw him managing global SAP rollouts throughout the United States, Europe, and other international regions. He has worked with clients in numerous industries, including consumer products, chemicals, medical equipment manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and more.
Immediately before joining Vortex, Peter served as the director of enterprise architecture for a pharmaceutical and medical device company. During his 10 years in life sciences, he developed a solid background in validated systems under CFR21. He led several SAP implementations and established a COE for integration.
At Vortex, Peter oversees major SAP S/4HANA implementations and upgrades to ensure customer satisfaction while meeting project objectives. He is a PMP-certified project manager comfortable with all leading project management methodologies. Peter is also an expert-level architect experienced in SAP, EDI, MES, LIMS, Salesforce, SAP Concur, Ariba, Icertis, Vertex, Vistex, and integration technologies.
Creative hobbies keep Peter busy when not in the office. He is a musician, artist, and custom furniture designer and fabricator who pursues creative outlets whenever possible. After living in places worldwide, he currently resides in picturesque Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
