Vortex welcomes the addition of Kristin Taner, an SAP industry marketing veteran, as she joins our rapidly growing team. Kristin has held marketing leadership roles in the SAP managed services and cloud hosting ecosystem for the past 15 years. She is a long-time Vortex partner, having collaborated on numerous business development campaigns over the years. Kristin is an active and well-known member of the larger SAP community, and we are excited to have her on board.

Vortex has been tasked with deploying and supporting SAP Basis infrastructure in a new 2025 SAP Global Trade Services project for a U.S.-based high tech client. We are leading the SAP GTS on S/4HANA installation, ensuring full integration with additional third-party software. In addition to initial setup, the project includes key support work in establishing maintenance of backup restore and disaster recovery procedures, performing SAP release upgrades, applying system patches, and optimizing SAP production, development, and test environments.

Our client, a global leader in laboratory-based life sciences research and development, is preparing for an SAP S/4HANA rollout to their Canadian operations. Vortex is executing PHP application development services that aim to ensure a smooth e-commerce integration with SAP S/4HANA in their large-scale Canadian environment. We are also working to enhance an existing PHP application in support of SAP rollout to offices in the United Kingdom and European Union.

Vortex has signed on for a 2025 SAP ABAP development project that delivers technical support in the following areas: requirement gathering, blueprinting, technical documentation, development, testing, and implementation of technical solutions using SAP Fiori. The high tech manufacturing client’s complex technology landscape demands technical work on IDoc interfaces between SAP and Solumina, and the design and development of WRICEF objects, along with detailed documentation for post-testing handoff to production for deployment.

In Q1 2025, Vortex launched a new SAP S/4HANA and SAP Analytics Cloud project for a telecom manufacturer. We have been tasked with conducting an assessment of budgeting and planning requirements, developing process recommendations around SAP Analytics Cloud data and reporting design requirements, and driving the data transfer from SAP S/4HANA into SAP Analytics Cloud. Development, testing, user training, reporting surveillance, and other steps in a robust roadmap aim to ensure a successful implementation and adoption of this enhanced SAP Analytics integration.

Vortex has renewed our contract to provide SAP ABAP development services to an internationally renowned leader in the biotech industry. Scope of work includes Fiori development as part of SAP ABAP and BTP integration solutions delivered in the client’s SAP S/4HANA environment. We are working closely with their internal business analysts and myriad consulting/service partners to enhance SAP functionality across key business areas, including sales and distribution, production planning, procurement, material management, FICO, SAP EWM, and more.

Vortex is providing advanced SAP support for a North American manufacturer client’s in-house team as they analyze the existing SAP ECC environment and prepare for an upcoming SAP S/4HANA transition. Primary project objectives include in-depth analysis and identification of opportunities for repair, improvement, simplification, and additional rationalization based on immediate business priorities that will be critically impacted by the company’s pending cloud migration. Identified high priority areas include sales and distribution, billing, Available to Promise (ATP), SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), IDoc Integration, and SAP EDI performance.

Vortex is providing both SAP technical and functional support to our client, a North American-based leader in the development of motion control technology products. We are delivering expert-level solutions for an evolving SAP Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) implementation, establishing connections between existing GRC Access Controls and the SAP S/4HANA landscape. Key project components include defining workflows for enhanced automation provisioning and establishing Fiori security roles to help protect the client’s systems.

Seasoned SAP professional Carl Nordstrom has joined Vortex Consulting as our senior director of sales. Carl brings more than 25 years of experience to the role, having worked on both the technical and functional sides of the business. Over a span of more than two decades, Carl and Vortex have collaborated on a multitude of projects across industries in the greater ERP landscape. We’re excited to have him join our team as we look forward to a busy and productive 2025.

Our client, an international engineering and manufacturing firm with a strong U.S. presence based out of Ohio, is preparing for a 2025 SAP S/4HANA transition. Vortex is part of their extended transition planning team, supporting internal resources to clean up their ECC environment, prepare processes and related documentation, and provide SAP consulting services for the pending S/4HANA rollout.
